THE HANSIERRE DICTIONARY (lo diccionari hansierre)

The Rue du Pissoir: A narrow alley on the Left Bank which smells suspiciously like piss.  More than usual, that is.
The Dreaded Etouffee:  Hans does not like spicy food...
No Snails: A key ingredient in many recipes.
Operation Elephant Strike: [CLASSIFIED] A planned attack by British India utilizing flying elephants as bombers.
The Duck Nest: The secret apartment
Frollo: The Nazi!Cycle who will hopefully not fall to a painful death taking Hans and Marie-Pierre with him.
Kase: In German, a cheese. Also (affectionately) Marie-Pierre.
Choucroute: In French, sauerkraut.  Also (affectionately) Hans.
That Thing With The Sausage: The best meal at the Occitan bistro.
Duas Anetz E Un Afleche: Occitan for "two ducks and an acorn."  It means Marie-Pierre is, as the English say, taking the piss.
The Metro Pig: An unhappy ham who met his fate on the city transit rails.
Airshey Bars: American chocolate which tastes slightly of wax and will one day fall like rain.
Occitan Wine: Is horrid.

Important NPCs:
Bertrat
, his wife Mireille, and their son Stephane are the proprietors of a small Occitan bistro (which is also the site of musicalas, informal musical gatherings).  They are from the same town as Marie-Pierre.  Bertrat is boisterous and tends to forget to speak French; Mireille has been having an off-and-on affair with Marie-Pierre for about a decade now; Stephane might be Marie-Pierre's, and if he is, then he is taking after the family business - working as a messenger for Duclos and getting far too excited by the thought of secret codes and such.
Richard Tremayne is a naturalized Englishman who has been one of Marie-Pierre's contacts since the time he worked in London as a young man.  Dicky has a wife named Audrey and a nine-year-old son named Simon, who will probably never appear.
